A look back at the CADFEM ANSYS Simulation Conference

The 35th CADFEM ANSYS Simulation Conference took place in Koblenz from 15 to 17 November. IGEL AG has been a partner of CADFEM since 2016 and took part in the conference again this year. With almost 900 exhibitors, experts and interested parties, the event was again very well attended.

IGEL AG had an exhibition stand which, in collaboration with the start-up volabo, was able to attract plenty of trade visitors, especially because of the ISCAD engine which recently made the press and was designed and implemented by IGEL AG.

Together with Mr Oleg Moros from volabo, Mr Vladimir Traykov gave a presentation on electric motor development using the example of the ISCAD motor. On Friday, Mr. Traykov spoke at the ‘16th CADFEM Forum—How will today’s job profile of the computation engineer change in the future?’. He opened the discussion round with his keynote speech on ‘The convergence of computation and construction’.

It was an interesting, exciting time at a very well-organised fair, where great importance is still attached to communication, knowledge sharing and state-of-the-art technology.
